Use this form to report:

Grounds maintenance issues such as dangerous trees, overgrown grass, hedges or shrubs on land that we own in the Richmondshire area

Issues not dealt with in this form:

  • Request for garden assistance
  • Report grounds maintenance issues on grass verges next to roads and school playing fields. These are handled by our highways team
  • Reporting issues with trees that are not dangerous. We will not for instance prune or fell a council tree to improve natural light in a property, to prevent interference with telephone wires/TV reception, or reduce the effects of bird droppings, honeydew, blossom, nuisance of fruit/berries or leaf fall.

What happens next?

  • Dangerous or hazardous issues regarding council owned/maintained trees, play equipment or walls and fencing will be visited by a council officer within 24 hours of the report being received.
  • General ground maintenance issues regarding grass, hedge-cutting or tree enquiries will be visited by a council officer within seven days of the report being received.
