What happens next?
The council provides a service for the removal of dead animals from public areas.
Where a domestic pet is collected it will be taken to a vet where it will be checked for a microchip and kept in case an owner can be found.
Dead animal issues reported to us will be visited by a council officer within seven days of the report being received.
